The KC-176 is a Petty Knife of the AUS-10 PRO Series. The petty knife is a Japanese-style paring/utility knife. It is the perfect tool in the hand for peeling and preparing fruits and vegetables, as well as beautifying dishes with elegant cuts and garnishes. It can also be used as a petite chef knife, which is ideal for smaller hands.
About the AUS-10 PRO Series:
Knives of this series are of extra fine quality. They have high carbon stainless steel AUS-10 blades. This is a magnificent performance blade which contains 0.95 - 1.10% carbon and a well-balanced composition of molybdenum and vanadium that enables knives of this series to have professional-use details. This stainless steel possesses excellent rust-resistance and edge retention, with a hardness of HRC 59 - 60. The basic and simple handle gives it an excellent grip and will stand up to whatever you put it to. The black wood handle has full-tang construction with a welded stainless steel bolster. Proudly made in Seki, Japan.
