KB-157 Danro Burned Hatchet Axe for Camping & Home

The KB-157 Danro Axe features a SC steel (mono steel) (high carbon steel) blade with burned oak wood handle. This hand axe, "Danro burned", is a Japanese traditional hand axe. The blade is forged by skilled craftsmen. The steel material is a kind of high carbon steel called "SC steel" (mono steel). And the handle material is "Kantou-Kashi", that is high grade Japanese Northern Kanto oak wood, which is considered one of the highest class in Japan. The oak grows slowly in areas with extreme differences in temperature, making it suitable for handles because it is high density and very strong. Burning the surface of the Kanto oak will completely get rid of noxious insects and harden the surface for durability. The unique texture and feel is only possible with burned real Kanto oak. This hand axe comes with a leather case which has a belt loop to carry it on your waist and an O-ring to hang it for storage.

Traditional hatchets are engraved with 3 lines on the right side surface and 4 lines on the right side surface. These 7 lines contains a wish for not getting in an accident during dangerous mountain work.
