Kanetsune Seki Japan KB-280 Karasu Blue Steel 125mm Paracord Hunting Field Knife

This Kanetsune KB-280 Fixed Blade features a Damascus Blue Steel blade with Green Wrapped Paracord handle.

Inspired by the sharp beak of a wild crow, the blade features an aggressively pointed form.

Featuring a 15-layer Damascus steel construction with a core of Blue Steel No. 2, renowned for its exceptional cutting performance. The 125mm blade offers a highly versatile form and practical length for a wide range of cutting tasks. The traditional 黒打ち KUROUCHI-finished blade retains its raw, rugged character, creating a bold and untamed presence that leaves a lasting impression.

The handle is wrapped with American-made paracord. Equivalent to military-spec rope, it offers a tensile strength of approximately 250kg and a total length of about 2.7 m. When needed, the cord can be unraveled from the handle as a strong and reliable rope for emergency use.

The angular pommel is designed for impact assistance in the field. The black leather sheath is designed to securely cover and protect the blade, providing confidence. The belt loop is equipped with a D-ring, allowing convenient attachment to a carabiner or hook for added versatility.

Kanetsune is named after a famous Japanese swordsmith who lived in the Muromachi period around the 14-15th century. This skilled craftsman made extremely sharp and durable katanas that were respected by many Samurais in Japan and overseas. Some of his swords are displayed in the Katana Museum in Seki City. Like the Kanetsune blades of old, Kanetsune knives today are made in Seki, Japan with the goal of producing high quality traditional designs that are suitable for everyday use. This is achieved by blending traditional Japanese techniques with new ideas and modern technology.

Kanetsune is a brand of Kitasho Co., Ltd., one of the most respected manufacturers of knives in Seki, Japan and established in 1964. Kanetsune continues the bladesmith legacy of Seki City with its fine cutlery.
